As we all know, alloy saw blades will encounter wear after being used for a period of time. If you want to solve the wear problem, you should understand the cause of wear. Today, the Saw Blade Grinding Center will share with you the cause of wear of alloy saw blades and the treatment after wear.
1、 Causes of Alloy Saw Blade Wear
1. Mechanical wear This kind of wear refers to the wear caused by the work piece or cutting edge band cutting grooves of different depths on the tool surface. The lower the hardness ratio of the workpiece or cutting edge with a super high tool to the workpiece, the easier the tool is to wear. Therefore, the tool must have a higher hardness in order to improve its wear resistance.
2. Bonding wear When cutting plastic materials, the cutting and front tool face work pieces are sticky to the rear cutting, and particles with low strength on the tool surface or local areas are cut or the workpiece is bonded with abrasive brushes to make the tool wear.
3. Diffusion wear Diffusion wear refers to the diffusion of alloy elements between tool and workpiece during high temperature cutting, which reduces the physical and mechanical properties of tool materials and aggravates tool wear. Diffusion is a kind of wear with chemical properties. For example, the addition of titanium carbide or tantalum carbide and other additives in cemented carbide can increase the diffusion temperature between the alloy and the matrix, so as to improve the wear resistance and heat resistance of the tool.
4. Phase change wear alloy saw blades are made of different materials, with poor heat treatment technology or too thin substrate. During a certain high-speed cutting friction process, when the substrate or material temperature exceeds the phase change temperature, the alloy saw blade edge band will be accelerated to wear, thus losing the cutting ability.
2、 Factors of Improving Service Life of Alloy Circular Saw Blade
1. It is required to select the matrix material with good heat resistance, high toughness, good strength, small stress, small deformation and end jump. The depth angle of the matrix tooth seat is consistent with each matrix, the hole fitting tolerance is high, and the material density, thickness and hardness are uniform.
2. Low temperature silver electrodes and fluxes with good fluidity shall be selected as far as possible for tooth welding process to prevent sudden cooling and sudden drop of workshop temperature. In principle, the temperature of welding teeth shall not exceed 750 °, so as to ensure that the temperature of each tooth is uniform and the tooth is welded. High frequency generator shall be selected as far as possible to heat bilaterally to keep the temperature of alloy and substrate basically consistent, so as to ensure that after welding, it is put into an oven to eliminate welding stress, refine alloy crystals, and maintain welding strength.
3. The key to the grinding accuracy and process application tool durability lies in the blade. The blade on each side is not grinded in place, and the resistance is large. The grinding wheel is too thick, and the grinding wheel marks are obvious. The grinding wheel marks are not correct, and the angle is asymmetric. The two tool faces on any side. The grinding wheel retraction pressure affects the blade belt. The radial jump maintains the minimum jump. The side front angle is required to be small. The rear edge angle should not be too large. The rotation direction of the grinding head should be selected correctly, And the radial cutting force is from low to high. The grinding process first grinds the two side angles, then grinds the rear angle and the rear edge angle. The front angle and the front edge angle are a link in tool manufacturing. Any violation of the previous process will bring quality effects to the tools.
